[Fred A. Baughman Jr., MD: Dave, not sure where you are but there is almost nowhere in the US today where psychiatric diagnosing and drugging is not being initiated, coerced (bring CPS into picture, hailing to court) by public school personnel. The simplest way, if still possible, is to quietly place your grandson in a private or parochial school (carefully interviewed beforehand) that does not hold this to be the appropriate stuff of an education. Once engaged with their committees and assessments; IEP etc., you may be in their legal sights, so to speak. To battle the county schools in county juvenile/family court is always a losing proposition, I assure you. If you are or become legally engaged, I will speak with your attorney. Good luck to you and your grandson. Fred Baughman, MD ] do i have any rights or can the public school system force the issue to medicate my grandson, thanks. Dave |
